Our Story
Mochas has been serving organic fair trade coffee to the Gunnison community since 1997 and has been voted Gunnison’s best coffee every year since 2003. We are passionate about serving high quality products, made with care. In addition to our coffee drinks, we are also know for delicious sandwiches, smoothies, milkshakes and baked goods. Owners
Kate and Geoff OROS
The husband-wife team of Kate and Geoff Oros purchased Mochas in 2019. They’re joined in the adventure by their two young children; Layla and Abigail.
Kate, who grew up in Gunnison and has an exercise and sports science degree from Western Colorado University, has worked at Mochas on-and- off — mostly on — since she was 20.
Geoff is a New Hampshire native who came to Gunnison for school. For the past 10 years, he’s used his business administration degree from Western and worked for CBMR for a decade.
Geoff and Kate were ready to get a foot hold and solidify their place in the valley within the community and for their family and made the move to be the business owners of Mochas in 2019. With Geoff's business background and Kate's years of experience at Mocha's, it was the perfect match! Even with the wild timing of having a brand new baby! Stop in and say hi to this amazing family!

Like so many earth-shaking ideas, it started on a napkin.
From this humble beginning in 1993, my wife Becky and I, built our coffee roasting company with an uncompromising pursuit of the world's finest beans, wherever they are.
We've been to Africa, Indonesia, Central and South America to find them.
Once the burlap bags make their way to us, we roast the beans to absolute perfection, blend them by hand, and deliver them with pioneering customer service.
